current rumors of government officials and clerics beginning to split from the official results and calling for actions that could lead to civil war or overthrow of the existing regime:

-head of the "council of experts" who have the authority to appoint a new ayatollah is reportedly meeting with the other memebers to see if an agreement can be reached to replace ayatollah kahmaenie

- Grand Ayatollah Sanei in Iran has declared Ahmadinejad's presidency illegitimate and cooperating with his government against Islam.

- Rezaei, the conservative candidate and fmr head of Revolutionary Guards, apparently publishes open letter strongly contesting Iran election.

-Grand Ayatollah Hossein Ali Montazeri, the most important ayatollah living in Iran and the strongest clerical critic of the conservatives. He has been asked to issue a clear statement, explaining his views about the election fraud.

-the iranian military has so far remained neutral, leaving riot police and militias to deal with the protests

-Mousavi, Khatami and Rafsanjani are allegedly meeting at Mousavi's house (who is under house arrest) and are planning their next move. People there are waiting for further instructions from Mousavi.
